Andrew Hinds FGA has worked in the trade full time for 35 years, although it's fair to say he's been in it since he was born. He is the Chairman of multiple retailer and sixth generation family business F Hinds. Founded in 1856 and with a history stretching back to at least the start of the 19th century, F Hinds has 118 stores across Britain. In 2019, a further 12 stores of the UK leading outlet specialist, Chapelle, joined the group. F Hinds is a longstanding National Association of Jewellers member and was one of the first certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. Andrew is a past chair of the NAG/NAJ, was President of the British Allied Trades Federation and served as a member of the British Hallmarking Council. He is chair of the NAJ Educational Trust charity and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
